On June 1, USPA began the process that culminates in its members electing the 2019-2021 USPA Board of Directors. All USPA members in good standing who are at least age 18 on or before August 1, 2018, are eligible to run for one of the 14 Regional Director or eight National Director seats. To be on the ballot, all candidates must submit the required election materials—including a candidate biography, candidate statement, an acceptable photograph and a non-refundable $50 filing fee—to USPA Headquarters by the close of business August 1. The candidate biography and statement must be submitted using the online form on USPA's website. An acceptable photo can be submitted online, by email or mail. The filing fee can be paid online, mailed or phoned in with a credit card. The voting period has changed from previous years and will now run from October 1 through October 31. Section 3-1 of the USPA Governance Manual lists other important changes and additional deadlines. Those elected will take their seats at the first 2019 board meeting, scheduled for February 1-3 in Dallas, Texas.
